Pendant

I find carnelian to be a most beautiful, warm, inviting stone and this local piece from Digby Neck is even more special because it has an equally striking live edge. It is not often I get to feature a beautiful edge like this so this stone is special. So in order to feature the edge, I drilled it and did a "funky wrap" with a copper head pin that we fired on the edge to produce a gorgeous red copper ball. Then I hung it from a 22 inch, marigold coloured, premium Greek leather cord finished with one of my hand made copper neck clasps. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I did making it for you.
